Inspections and Certification 

Our service engineers have the knowledge and resources to undertake a full inspection of your tanker including thickness check giving a detailed report identifying work that is required to achieve certification and issuing tank certificates where appropriate.

Periodic safety checks / Servicing

With the growing need to comply with legislation, we work closely with many larger operators such as Veolia, Biffa, Anglian Water, and many independent tanker operators, to provide an effective system of regular periodic safety checks / service checks that comply with your own internal procedures and processes.  Upon your request we will develop, prepare and provide a Written Schemes of Examination  for all tankers in your fleet.

Maintenance & Repairs

Keeping a vacuum tanker on the road can be an expensive business.  We take a proactive approach by offering to maintain your vehicles in order to prevent any breakdowns as a result of poor maintenance.   If, however, the worst does happen and a tanker does require repair work, we have the facilities, spare parts and technical knowledge to ensure your tank is up and running as quickly as possible.  We provide emergency breakdown service.

 

Refurbishment & Remounts

The life of a tank barrel more often than not far exceeds the life of its chassis. At VJ we offer a comprehensive refurbishment and remount service.  Firstly, we will verify if the existing barrel is structurally sound and suitable for remounting. We will engineer the correct mounting position on the new chassis ensuring that it fully complies with chassis manufacturer weight distribution recommendations.  We will manufacture all tank mountings and fit the tank to the chassis. We will refurbish and re-fit all on board gear. We will fit platforms, ladders, and handrails ensuring that the tank fully complies with current safety legislation.
